Hi there! I’m Charlene, or Char (pronounced shar). I’m a multi certified Permanent Makeup Artist and owner of Binx Inks.

I got my start in the permanent makeup industry during 2020. After working as an X-Ray Technician for about 10 years, I felt that I would be more fulfilled in a career where I could explore and fulfill my artistic talents. I began my trainings for Permanent Makeup in Los Angeles where I learned the art of Microblading and Shading at Dyesa May Studio and Lip Blush at Brow Jelly. I continued with multiple in person and online education to make sure I’m providing my clients with the best and up to date techniques. in 2023, I completed a Nano Brow (digital machine hair stroke) course with Bree at Bespoke Brows here in La Mesa.

My goal is to have my clients leaving my studio feeling more comfortable and confident in their skin. These procedures truly change lives and I’m so grateful to be a part of my client’s transformations.

When I’m not busy at the studio I am at home cooking, spending time with my fiancé and our 3 cats, checking out a new restaurant or going to concerts/shows. I love music and watching movies and television shows, so if you have some good recommendations please send them my way!
